Bio:
Megan A. Ratliff DDS MS was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Mi. She studied at Marquette University in Milwaukee Wisconsin as a dental scholar. This allowed her to complete both her bachelor in science and doctorate in dental surgery in just seven years. While in Wisconsin she earned the titles of Miss Milwaukee and Miss Southern Wisconsin both preliminaries in the Miss America Organization.
Following dental school, she attended the University of Louisville where she obtained her certificate in periodontology and masters in oral biology. Dr. Ratliff became a diplomate of The American Board of Periodontology following residency. In 2009, Dr. Ratliff won the Prestigious Billy M. Pennel Research Competition for her clinical research in bone regeneration. Dr. Ratliff currently sits on the board for the Midwest Society of Periodontology and the clinical innovations committee for the Academy of Osseoinegration.
Dr. Ratliff is an active philanthropist in Chicago outside of the dental community. She serves on the Board of Advisors for Catholic Charities, the Aid for Women programs committee, and University of Chicago’s Cancer Research Associates Board. In her spare time, Dr. Ratliff can be found enjoying her other passions: singing opera, sailing, and playing the violin.
