History of the Practice

The office of Pure Perio has had a long successful history in Glenview. The practice was founded in 1968 by Dr. Ronald Fabrick. Dr. Fabrick, a Northwestern University graduate, started his career as a general practitioner in the US Navy stationed in Japan. Upon completion of his tour, he returned to the United States, and went on to the University of Washington’s periodontal residency program studying under Drs. Saul Schluger and Bill Amons. Both of whom were instrumental in the development of osseous surgery procedures.

Dr. Kenneth Bueltmann joined Dr. Fabrick in 1974. Dr. Bueltmann is a graduate of Marquette University where he completed a 6 year accelerated undergraduate and dental program. From Marquette, he joined the NAVY serving 2 years stationed in California. Dr. Bueltmann went on to the University of Iowa to complete his Periodontal residency. After completing his Periodontal residency, Dr. Bueltmann found himself back in California; this time teaching and completing his periodontal research at the University of Southern California.  It was not long before Dr. Bueltmann made his way back to his home town of Chicago to join Dr. Fabrick. He had a very rewarding career in Glenview before retiring in 2014. During his tenure he sat on multiple professional boards, including presidency of the American board of Periodontology In the summer of 2013, Dr. Megan Ratliff joined Dr. Bueltmann in Glenview and has since taken over the practice following Dr. Bueltmann’s retirement.
